On May 3, 1913, 5 Californian entrepreneurs started their business by turning brine from the salt pans of San Francisco Bay into bleach. They located their offices in Oakland, California - where their headquarters are still today. In 1914, they named their brand Clorox.In Egypt, Clorox began offering its product lines to consumers in 1986 and continued to add new products to the Clorox family to meet evolving consumer needs, until finally launching Clorox Disinfecting Wipes in 2021.
